JSON RPC API

JSON is a lightweight data-interchange format. It can represent numbers, strings, ordered sequences of values, and collections of name/value pairs.

JSON-RPC is a stateless, light-weight remote procedure call (RPC) protocol. Primarily this specification defines several data structures and the rules around their processing. It is transport agnostic in that the concepts can be used within the same process, over sockets, over HTTP, or in many various message passing environments. It uses JSON (RFC 4627) as data format.

JavaScript API

To talk to an platon node from inside a JavaScript application use the web3.js library, which gives an convenient interface for the RPC methods.

Note

The following just shows the RPC call process with curl procedure. Actually you need to make some adjustments according to the specific situation of your server. For example, a possible call procedure for PlatON is curl -X POST -H 'content-type: application/json' --data '{"jsonrpc":"2.0","method":"web3_clientVersion","params":[],"id":67}' 127.0.0.1:6789.
